TOPSAIL HILL PRESERVE STATE PARK HOSTS LOVE TRACKS
A 5K FUN RUN/ WALK

SANTA ROSA BEACH, FL – Join Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and the Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park for Love Tracks, a 5K Fun Run/Walk on February 17, 2018 from 7:00a.m. – 11:00a.m.  While on a paved trail through the park race participants will enjoy a beautiful view of long leaf pines, saw palmettos and a variety of other plants and animals. 

Those running or walking the 5K without a dog will start at 8:00a.m.  Those running or walking with a dog will start at 8:45a.m.  Race entrance fees are $5 for children, $10 for adults, $15 for adults with a dog ($5 for each additional dog).  For the safety of participants dogs are only allowed to enter with an adult.   All race participants registered by January 26, 2018 will get a bag and a t-shirt.  The registered dogs will get a bandanna.  Post-race celebration will be 8:30a.m. – 11:00a.m.  

All funds raised for during this event will benefit the Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and help them further their mission of supporting the park. 

Advanced online registration will be available starting December 21, 2017 at www.topsailparkfriends.org.   Limited race day registration will be available on a first come first serve basis between 7:00a.m. – 7:50a.m.

Coastal Seniors of South Walton Welcomes the Walton County Snowbirds

Good morning, Good afternoon. The Coastal Seniors of South Walton is a non-profit group with a mission to develop and maintain dynamic programs to encourage older adults to remain active, use their skills, develop their potential, and continue their involvement in the community. Our activities include creating inviting and enjoyable programs which will educate and inform seniors in the areas of nutrition, health, exercise, recreation, legal issues, and other areas. We would like to invite your members to our monthly meetings which are on the second Tuesday of every month at Somerby of Santa Rosa Beach 164 West Hewett Road, Santa Rosa Beach FL 32459. Our next meeting is on Tuesday, December 12 2017. There will be refreshments, raffle prizes and a great program with Tim Ard of Emerald Coast Flowers on Wreath Making for the Holidays. Topsail Hill Preserve State Park Moonlight Paddle 4:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. December 2, 2017

SANTA ROSA BEACH, FL – Join Topsail Hill Preserve State Park for a Moonlight Paddle on December 2, 2017 from 4:00p.m. - 7:00p.m.  Experience Campbell Lake on a Ranger guided paddling tour.  Participants must be experienced canoers/kayakers over 12 yrs old.  

Program is $40 per person.  Space is limited.  Advanced online registration is required and can be done at www.topsailparkfriends.org.   Program fee includes watercraft rental, PFD, paddle, park admission fee, glow sticks, tram ride to Campbell Lake and a donation to the Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park.  Program is weather dependent.  In order to prevent the introduction of invasive species in to Campbell Lake, which is a rare Coastal Dune Lake, watercraft and gear from outside the park is not allowed

Defuniak Springs 5th Annual Gras Fest - January 20th, 2018


Hello, I am with the Krewe de Yak, the only Mardi Gras Krewe in Walton County.  We will be having our 5th Annual GrasFest and Mardi Gras Parade on January 20, 2018 and was hoping you would help us advertise to your Snow Birds' Group.   Monda Duncan gave me your contact information as we are hoping to be a part of her event in DeFuniak Springs on 1/18/18.
